The session
The entire eyelash extensions application session lasts between 1 to 2 hours depending on the type of extensions chosen. The treatment is performed at our salon and the process is completely painless, in fact, the session can be so relaxing that many customers simply fall asleep. In average, we attach 100 extensions to each eye, manually and one by one. The resulting look lasts about a month and we recommend one session every 2 -3 weeks for a long-lasting effect.
There are many types of extensions varying in length, diameter, colour and curliness, and even effects can be added, such as “eyeliner” or “cat eye”. We will assess your natural eyelashes and depending on your desired look, we will advise which type is the best for you.
At I LASH YOU we only use synthetic extensions thanks to their excellent quality and durability. Furthermore, this type of extensions is the most antiallergic and their homogeneity allows us to craft eyelashes with more precision since mink or horse hair’s have different lengths and thickness which affect the overall look of the results.
THE TECHNIQUE
When applied correctly by a professional, eyelash extensions cause no harm at all to the natural eyelashes. The application technique consists in attaching one or more extensions to each and every natural eyelash. The eyelash extensions are attached using special tweezers and a long-lasting medical adhesive glue, which is applied to a minimal distance from the skin. The extensions are light and have a similar weight to eyelash mascara. Just as natural eyelashes fall off, the extensions fall off with them; that’s why we recommend a replacement session every 3 or 4 weeks.
